Complete Service Information

When trucking and transport companies need to move through and do business in more than one state, it would paralyze operations to calculate fuel taxes and obtain permits for each jurisdiction individually. The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) allows carriers to operate under a single license and file one quarterly report covering 48 U.S. states and most Canadian provinces.

While this is far more convenient than the old multi-permit system, the IFTA still has critical reporting requirements. Failure to file on time or filing incorrectly can result in penalties of up to 10% of the amount owed or $50 — whichever is greater — plus interest. For many trucking companies, the administrative burden of calculating state-by-state mileage and fuel consumption is exactly the kind of task they would rather hand off entirely.

That is precisely what Freight Services is here for. We take the IFTA reporting requirement completely off your plate. We manage your fuel receipts, track your mileage by jurisdiction, calculate your net tax liability or refund for each quarter, and submit your report on time — every time. We guarantee zero late fees.

Our service also provides full transparency: you will always know your fuel tax position and can plan your operations accordingly. Whether you are a single owner-operator or managing a growing fleet, our hands-off IFTA service gives you the peace of mind to focus on what you do best — driving and earning.
